The Bang On The Wall Band

The Bang On The Wall Band is an English ceilidh and barn dance band originally based in Loughborough, now with members in Nottingham, Loughborough and Leicester. The band plays for barn dances, weddings, charity fund-raising events, festival ceilidhs, etc...

Martin Wildig and I formed The Bang On The Wall Band in 1997 after The Acme Dance Company folded. The current band line-up usually consists of Neil Cadwallader (bass) and Colin Keefe (guitar) as well as Martin (Melodeon) and myself (percussion). We do have a few regular deps who stand-in when one of us is not available including: Bob Rushton (bass), Stuart Mee (drums), John Buckley (guitar), ...

The band works with a number of different callers, but our main regular caller nowadays is Laz Gilbert.
